Egad! I hadn't realised just how unhappy I am with GNOME! But that raises the question, why hasn't somebody somewhere developed a Linux UI on par with MacOS and Win11? Why doesn't Canonical do it themselves? But I guess they are a pretty small outfit and cannot spare the resources.
