For a while I've been saying the only way to justify the price of the Vision Pro is if it is a computer, not a peripheral. (And certainly not a gaming system.) That's what they've done, though not quite the way I was thinking. My idea was a Macbook replacement, but Apple decided it is a new class of computer, "spacial computing," just like IOS is different than Mac OS. But damn, that's a lousy name for the concept. They'd better work on that messaging for the next 6 months while the product gets completed. But I still don't think it will really catch on until somebody gets it into a glasses package rather than goggles. But then, I thought nobody would ever wear those goofy-looking iPods, either.
