For anyone who comes here and is not familiar with the DRY principal, DRY is "Don't Repeat Yourself." I find myself thinking about it when I duplicate a non-trivial code block for expedience, perhaps modifying it slightly. Before long, I find I've duplicated it 5 times, and it is really overdue for DRYing out!
