For those who don't know it and may be interested, Gary Gilmore is the subject of Norman Mailer's famous and lauded book, The Executioner's Song. It was adapted for a TV movie in 1982 starring Tommy Lee Jones, who won an Emmy. (Thank you Wikipedia.) I neither read the book nor saw the movie, so why do I bring it up? I dunno.
