Good points, Andrew. I realise that the fact that I am retiring soon means I do not need to confront the issue of how to support myself or a family, that is, what do jobs look like in a low energy economy. That's a tough one especially because it depends so much on what we wind up losing, for example, do we still have Internet? Do we still have reliable 24/7 electricity at all? As to economic growth, if we are going to muddle through this at all, I think we need de-growth, not growth. We need to abandon the idea that growth equals success since it is killing us.
