Haha! Yes, I stumbled into you Amazon author profile where you present as a cute dude. Very surprising and different and satisfying ending than I was expecting on Perfect Secret. Well done! I won't say more so as to not spoil it for any potential readers who may be following this thread this deep.
I'd say the first chapter of Ministry for the Future is mandatory but if it doesn't grab you after that, that's fine, set it aside. But that first chapter is so viscerally shocking and realistic about the kind of climate events we are headed for, everybody should read it. I'd like to hear what you think about Three Body when you get to it. Perhaps if you're not a big Sci Fi reader, it won't be for you. Though the writing and characterization is way above average for Sci Fi in general.
I'll take a look at Embracing Mind. Sheesh, what is up with $21 e-books? With zero cost of production, they were supposed to be cheap. I heard that the cost of the paper itself is the main cost of printed books. I hope the authors are getting paid, and not just Amazon and/or the publishers fattening their wallets.
For climate change fiction, The Road by Cormack MaCarthy is a classic. Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents are important. Camus's The Plague is relevant since plagues like COVID are part of climate change. Very readable, too. I guess that's enough for now!
