Hey Martin! Congratulations on your wise decision and success at following through. Since you didn't mention good ol' AA, I'll share one tiny bit of my own recovery experience for what it may be worth. I stopped drinking "cold turkey" (not meaning the liquor, but I did quit that) after a serious incident that fortunately did not leave me maimed, like you. (Automobile: very badly maimed.) A year later, I still found myself profoundly depressed, which is probably why I was drinking in the first place. So I finally found the rooms of AA and they really helped me a lot. The rooms, and the people in them. (Wellbutrin did its part too.)
