Hey Pexels! I’m not sure if you are asking for advice or not, but I will take the opportunity anyway. If the 2 years experience you mention means you are 2 years out of school, then I’m guessing you are single, footloose, and fancy free. If you go to the startup, expect a lot of change and excitement, a lot of responsibilty, long hours, some great people and some assholes, and ultimately failure and disappointment. In other words, a great adventure. If you love your current job, stay there! If you are tired of your current job, or hate it, or don’t see future advancement and success there, jump ship and take the adventure! From my perspective, nearing retirement, I can tell you jumping from one startup or small company to another every 2 to 5 years (as they went under or got acquired), with an occasional longer stint, has been fun and exciting, but I’d be earning — and worth — a lot more money if I just joined a Google or HP and grew in the company. Or, better yet, jumped ship every time I could get a substantially higher salary. So there are some thoughts for you.
