Hye Mr. Smarty-Pants Engineer! You are obviously very senior becuase you know eveerything about evetyhing software, so guess what? It is your responsibility to mentor the next generation so they do learn the skills and knowledge you believe they should have. And support sending them to classes and giving them the (paid) time for experimentation. If the next generation is ignant, it is YOU senior smarty-pants's that are the problem!
