I don't think it is a matter of liking or not liking it, preferring or not preferring it anymore. It is simply a mature and inexpensive piece of technology that simply ought to be everywhere. If you don't want to use it, don't. But it is there if and when you do want it. Now I know the real reason why Macbooks don't have touchscreens is because the software isn't optimized for it. As soon as a touchscreen becomes available, people will start complaining, why can't I do this that or the other thing by touch? But I still think they should addd it. It will be immediately useful for some things, like especially running iphone/pad apps on Macbook, and over time, more and more apps will adopt to it. Moreover, we are doing more and more of our work in web browsers and they all work nicely with touch, at least for scrolling and clikcing. So add the touch screen already, Apple!
