I don't understand. Isn't Linux already created, owned, and controller by ordinary folk? What are ordinary folk, anyway? Non-programmers? How would that work? Is there a git repository I can look at? Who is doing it? Jeff P. + "ordinary folk"? How do I get involved? Are we talking about "a moonshot", generic, or is there a project named "Moonshot," or named "Linux Moonshot"? If it is Linux Moonshot, then how is it a new operating system if it is also Linux? How in hell is a new operating system supposed to replace Linux? Sound like maybe you are just talking about a new desktop for Linux. Big whoops. Ubuntu and Mint are already pretty good.
