I love your calculations, John. I like the idea storing energy in compressed air -- or some sort of liquid. Of course the problem with this approach is the container has to be awfully strong or it blows up! Likewise for the flywheel, for the mass and speed it must spin, it has to be awfully strong or else it breaks apart! I guess any scheme for storing a household's worth of every is going to have risks and dangers.
