I recall a famous incident from Jackie's variety (or was it talk?) show. He was doing a skit where he rode a tricycle down a ramp into a prop brick wall, which was designed to collapse on him. Collapse it did, and Jackie came away with a broken arm. I remember there was some controversy about whether the skit should be aired. Eventually it was, but not just "Here's a skit about a man on a tricycle," but "Let's look at the film everyone is talking about where Jackie breaks an arm." I may have some details wrong, on accounta I'm old. (I'm sure if Permutter were here, he could correct me.)
