I remember back in the George W. Bush days, a fellow I worked with went for a visit to his hillbilly relatives in the Tennessee hills. When he returned (early), he said, "It's just amazing. As much as we [new San Francisco] are anti-Bush, that's just how much they are pro-Bush. It was like stepping through a mirror." We really do live in different realities.
