I strongly recommend Pat Barker's Women of Troy trilogy (books), retelling the Iliad and Odyssey from the point of view Briseis, the woman awarded as a prize to Achilles, which kicked off the whole Achilles-sulking-in-his-tent thing when Agamemnon commandeers Briseis.
