I think the EV market will pop when a major manufacturer offers a $20,000 vehicle with, perhaps, a 100 mile range. They're already offering it in China. Oh, but in the U.S., we just have to take every opportunity to squeeze every last dollar out of the consumer so we can use it for executive bonuses and stock buybacks. It's not EVs that are the problem, it's end-stage capitalism. If the auto companies won't do it, then the government ought to step in and start manufacturing inexpensive EVs. Just like how, here in California, the state government is going to manufacture insulin for our citizens.
