I'm sick and tired of hearing about 1.5 °C and 2°C. They mean absolutely nothing. Global warming effects are changing continuously at an increasing rate. Someday one or more positive feedback loops will reach a tipping point, at which time it pretty much shoots straight up off the chart. We have no idea when that tipping point will happen, only that it gets closer every day that CO2 in the atmosphere goes up. Either we are doing something about it, or we are not. Sadly, we are not.
