I’m sure you know this, Logan, but it may be of interest to others… Going male-to-female (trans woman), often the very hardest part of tranasition (for post-puberty transitioners) is modifying one’s speech to present as a woman (should one choose to do so). And the toughest part of that is learning to move your vocal pitch up to a more classically female range. Surprisingly, it can be done quite effectively, but it takes a lot of practice and mindfullness. Trans men, on the other hand, usually get a gimme on pitch because testosterone thickens the vocal chords, whereas, estrogen does not cause their thinning. Personally, I had an easy go of it because I always had a funny high voice.
