In conclusion, use Vue.js! (…as Tim McCarthy said in first comment.) Seriously, I had been working with AngularJS (the original, as distinct from current Angular) and I was starting a new project. It would be full stack nodejs and mid-sized — not trivial, but not Fortune 500 corporate size, and I new I didn’t want to go with outdated AngularJS. I had worked with (new) Angular a little bit, under the Ionic framework, so I wasn’t scared of it, but I’d heard of the wonderful new React — and, oh yes, there was that Vue.js thing. After a bit of research, I settled on Vue and have been very happy with that choice. My conclusion was that Angular is great for those huge, Fortune 500 coporate size projects, while Vue was better and easier for small-to-mid-size projects. React — well, that seemed best for people who want more complexity and hate JavaScript. (Maybe I just don’t get it.) By they way, I highly recommend Feathersjs (and Feather-Vuex) to get started with full stack Vue/node development.
