It's so funny that they are always saying that. Why in the world would the government want to do that? Just because they are mean and spiteful and they hate us? Who is the government, anyway? Its us, in the USA. Or, I guess you might say it is the 0.1% wealthiest people and corporations. But they don't want to do any of that either. They just want to take all our money. It may result in taking away our rights, reducing our standard of living, and controlling our lives, but that's not what they want, it is just an unfortunate side-effect.
