Jessica, this is exactly how I felt when a forest fire came within a mile of my home a couple of years ago. It's going to hit everyone in less time than they realise. I just hope we can get through another summer without another fire in my forest. So I get to the time when I can hope we can get through another winter without flooding or mudslides. I would move out of my beloved redwood forest, except that nowhere is safe.
