Love this! A couple of other interesting cases: It is all the rage these days to talk about downloading our consciousness into a computer for eternal life. But, even if we grant the possibility of consciousness in a computer, is it still really me? Then there is the extremely interesting and quite probably real-world case of dissociative identity order, informally "split personalities." Personally, I come down on the side of thinking "I" am just an illusion in my brain, just the same as my illusion (aka, theory of mind) that "you" are an independent consciousness, so none of it really matters anyway.
