My bubble was burst in 2011 when the Occupy Wall Street protest movement peacefully occupied city parks across the country. Do you remember how police in riot gear were dispatched to violently drive the protesters out? I found the police brutality against peaceful protesters shocking then, and I still find it shocking when it happens in DC's Lafayette Park to allow Trump to get a photo op. That's our real government in action, I'm afraid.
