"Never eschew the obvious." This quote has stuck with me ever since I heard it from one of my high school English teachers, because I had to look up the word "eschew." It means "to deliberately ignore" but I thought it might have meant "belabour." The quote is not all that profound but it is applicable in surprisingly many situations.
