Recycling battery materials is great. But so is stacking up a bunch of retired EV batteries to build house-scale or grid-scale storage. EVs want to retire their batteries when they get to 90% or 80% capacity, but that is still plenty of capacity for fixed-site energy storage. They most certainly don't need to go into landfills.
