"Rope" is not my favorite movie but it is notable that the entire movie appears as a single, continuous shot. Of course it is a 3-actor play set in a single room. Nevertheless, impressive and unique. Though I guess it was, in fact, several long shots skillfully edited together to look like a single shot. I don't thing a camera could hold enough film to do a shot that long, at that time. It's a good movie, too. Well worth a watch.
