Sorry about Bolt recall, Orrin. When Nissan intorduced the LEAF in the USA in 2010, I went to a test-drive/demo. As I waited in line, they walked us through a small pavillion where they highlighted their history of making electirc vehicles for some decades, though none (as I recall) had been comercialized. That's why I felt good about ordering a LEAF, which I recieved the following June, and have been quite pleased with. Of course, GM already had experience with the EV1, but that never had full corporate backing and certainly not after it got sh*t-canned. So yeah, I think exprience is going to be important in EV manufacture.
