MEDIUM! GET RID OF THIS SPAM!

Recently I’m seeing a lot of this spam pop up in many different authors’ articles. I’m sure you have seen it too.

It gets posted in an article’s response column, in reply to another response. It is posted under the author’s name so I don’t want to flag it and get the author in trouble.

It always goes exactly like this: “Nice response, reach out to me on Whatsapp +1(405) 780‑0311 I’ve something important to share with you.”

The screen shot at the top shows Ethan Seigel being victimized.

I cannot find any address anywhere for contacting Medium staff directly. So I guess I’ll just publish this little note an hope somebody sees it.
