Thank for you thoughts, Rev. On your first (second?) point, the recieved wisdom that primitive life was short, nasty, and brutish is being challenged in the anthropology community. For example, read “Against the Grain” by James C. Scott. Anyway, I believe you and I ended on the same note, encouraging everybody to do everything they can.
