Thank you thank you thank you, Jeff! This is just what I needed to hear. I ordered a new M 1Max 16" fully loaded but it is not getting here until February. Damn chip shortage!!! I got the first 16" MacBook Pro when it first came out 2 years ago, loaded with 64MB ram because I run lots of Docker containers at once. Love the machine, but now I'm finding it compute bound! Like activity monitor almost completely red! I'm banking on the new machine to get me out of this mess. Your ringing endorsement makes me feel a lot more confident about my decision. (Truth be told, I should probably spin off a bunch of containers to a separate machine--a beefy PC or a Mac mini, but it is so much more convenient to have it all together.)
