... The thing that is getting to me lately is why the hell do folks pour all this effort and resource into monitoring and measuring the problem? Fuck monitoring and measuring, if you really care about it, do something about it! It's not as if scientists were able to say with 99% certainty that the AMOC will collapse on December 3, 2025, that it would add any extra motivation to those who should already be doing something about it.
