Well put, Eric. On top of which, they just seem so incredibly burned out on the whole thing. I'm watching in ~30minute gulps because, well, it is kind of long and boring, just hanging out, like John says. I'm nearing the end of the first part, where Paul complains that nobody is showing any enthusiasm for the project. And they just sit there numbly staring at him. It is really clear that The Beatles had made it to the end of their incredible sprint. After this, they each took off in their preferred direction: Paul just wanted to play shows, so he put a new band together (Wings), wrote some new material, and he is still touring today. John went out and did a lot of drinking and drugs and fighting, and eventually settled down and started a (second) family. George made some great, ethereal music. And Ringo "starred" in TV programs for kids, and did those great "All-Starr" concerts. Just wonderful!
