Windows in 8GB is different than MacOS in 8GB is different than MacOS M1/2 unified memory architecture in 8GB. But I guess if 8GB is fine for Windows, it should be fine for any Mac. Then there's Linux, where you would probably measure the minimum usable in MB not GB.
